The eyes once again creep me out... its like she's saying "Yes, I know you're looking at my boobies and I'm okay with that, now watch me dislocate my spine just to make you cringe."
For some reason this reminds me of K K from Warren Ellis' "Freakangels." Not a very good pic, but it'll do in a pinch Cover Illustration

She does seem a little angular, but that's your choice.
The pose doesn't seem unnatural to me. The setting, though suggests fantasy rather than reality.

Thats exactly why i do it though. I like the idea that the picture is making contact with you
His work is great! Simple, not over rendered [which is most peoples problem] and clean. Yea, i know how you feel. I dont travel alone either, though, I will be soon enough. Gotta take a leap now and then!
The thing that made me really like him was when I saw his architecture and his lines weren't perfectly straight. Strange I know, but I don't normally like stiff lines in buildings and such.
